You arrive in Knoxville, Tennessee, and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: Knoxville - Pigeon Forge
This morning you pick up your bike at EagleRider, Knoxville. Not BLUE SUEDE SHOES but a good pair of riding boots is all you need as you hum through Deals Gap today on your way to “Slay the Dragon” then onto Pigeon Forge, Tennessee where sightings of Elvis are common. Overnight.
Day 3: Pigeon Forge
Today is an encore of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. You just CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE with the wide array of entertainment choices from amusement park rides, comedy theatre, crafts, fabulous food and shopping, not to mention the gospel, bluegrass, and country music sounds of the city. Or you can lose yourself in the quaint beauty of the resort town of Gatlinburg or the majestic scenery of the twisting, climbing roads of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Overnight.
Day 4: Pigeon Forge - Chattanooga
Today your SUSPICIOUS MINDS will be eased as the day unfolds into the timeless beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains. Entering into this great mountain range on the Tennessee side, you exit into the North Carolina side and into the sights and sounds of the Cherokee Indian Reservation on our way to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Wheels Through Time Museum. You overnight in Chattanooga.
Day 5: Chattanooga - Nashville
Your ride continues via Lynchburg, Tennessee and you may want to visit the Jack Daniels distillery; home of the world famous Tennessee sippin’ whiskey. If Jack Daniels was not located in a dry county, there may be many more singing the JAILHOUSE ROCK! Today concludes in Nashville, Tennessee the home of country music.
Day 6: Nashville
You have all day to experience the Country Music Capitol and enjoy the sights and sounds of this world famous city.
Day 7: Nashville - Tupelo
Leaving Nashville you follow the historic Natchez Trace Parkway to Tupelo, Mississippi. This is the original hunter’s path that slowly came to form a trail from the Mississippi River over the hills and into the valley of the Tennessee River giving the present day travelers an unhurried route from Nashville to Natchez, Mississippi. These parklands preserve an important example of the Nations natural and cultural heritage. You overnight in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Day 8: Tupelo - Memphis
While here, you should take a tour of Tupelo and the birthplace of the King of Rock. You ride via Graceland and arrive at the birthplace of Blues, Memphis, Tennessee. Overnight.
Day 9: Memphis
Memphis and Graceland are synonymous but don’t forget the Blues on Beale Street, Mud Island, and the world famous Barbeque! Don’t expect anyone to ask ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT? There is something for everyone in this city. Overnight.
Day 10: Memphis - Land Between the Lakes
GIVE ME A HOME WHERE THE BUFFALO ROAM literally, on your ride from Memphis to the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area in Kentucky, you will see these majestic animals in their own environment. Ride the peninsula between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, hence where the name was derived. Overnight.
Day 11: Land Between the Lakes - Mammoth Cave
Today it’s all about GOOD VIBRATIONS as you ride through southwestern Kentucky via Bowling Green, a well-known location for the sports car enthusiast. This is the home of the National Corvette Museum. We suggest a stop to experience firsthand the passion and excitement of America’s Sports Car, the Chevrolet Corvette. Your travels will take you to Mammoth Cave National Park. This is the longest recorded cave system in the world with over 360 miles explored and mapped. You may want to explore these caves or the ride the scenic roads surrounding the pristine water. Overnight.
Day 12: Mammoth Cave - Renfro Valley
Continue east today, into the Kentucky Mountains and on to Mount Vernon. This is the home of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum and the Renfro Valley Entertainment Center. Renfro Valley is also home to the famous Gatherin’ Radio Program that folks have enjoyed since 1939. Music is as much a part of Kentucky as the horse farms and highlands. And as varied as the landscapes are the genres of song – the folk, gospel, bluegrass, blues and jazz. Overnight.
Day 13: Renfro Valley - Clinton
Your ride continues south, through the Daniel Boone National Forest and the Cumberland Gap. Returning to Tennessee you join the Tennessee Fall Homecoming festivities at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, for real old-time mountain music and country southern cooking. You overnight in Clinton, TN.
Day 14: Clinton - Knoxville
It’s not BLUE HAWAII but rather Norris Dam, the crown jewel of the Tennessee Valley Authority dam system that will take your breath away as you travel this scenic route. Follow the tranquil Norris Freeway to the now well- known “Secret City” of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. We recommend a stop at the American Museum of Science and Energy where science and history meet. This site was originally named the American Museum of Atomic Energy. Now it’s RETURN TO SENDER as you are on your way to Eaglerider of Knoxville, to return your bike. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
