Gran Canaria - More Miles For Less

NEW and just announced! Our guides love this year-round, picture-perfect slice of Spanish cycling heaven so much that we wanted to introduce it to you. Our new More Miles for Less biking tour in the Canary Islands will have you pedaling through deserts, forests, along the coast and up volcanic slope
For those who truly long to go off the beaten path, discover with us this brand-new itinerary featuring one of the most sought-after places for european cyclists who love to ride all-year round. Gran Canaria is located in the Atlantic Ocean off the northwestern coast of Africa and is part of the archipelago of Canary Islands, which belongs to Spain. You will pedal around an island of volcanic origin and offers different climates with long beaches and dunes contrasting with ravines and volcanoes. This is a perfect place for cyclists due to its climate and environment which also provides great road riding conditions. It offers a dramatic change of landscape including views of the sea, lush forests, deserts, and volcanic mounts on different types of terrains.
Day 1: Santa Brigida
Today we’ll explore the lush, fertile valley of Barranco de Santa Brigida and we’ll climb to Pico de Bandama, the top of a crater of the dormant volcano of Caldera de Bandama.
Day 2: Teror and Vega San Mateo
Enjoy the biggest botanic garden of Spain, that boasts over 2000 type of plants indigenous to the Canary Islands. Our bike ride will take us inland through a lush vegetation, gradually gaining elevation on our way to Teror, famous for its white-washed houses.
Day 3: Cruz de Tejeda
Today’s ride will take us through one of the most scenic parts of Gran Canaria which lies over 1500 meters and offers the view of mount Tejeda, alpine forests and the island's reservoirs.
Day 4: Pico de las Nieves
The volcanic peak of Pico de Las Nieves is the highest point on the island, at 1949 meters above sea level, a perfect environment for improving your climbing skills while riding on a remote landscape.
Day 5: Playa de Mogan
Our ride goes from 1520 meters down to sea level, nevertheless it will still satisfy your climbing hunger. The extra loop offers a view of one of Gran Canaria's best preserved natural pine forests, the National Park of Tamadaba
Day 6: Soria waterfall
Our last day features a long gentle climb with twisting hairpin turns which wind up through rock formations and pine trees before descending to Soria’s waterfall and lake, followed by a final coastal ride back to the hotel.
Day 7: Adios!
Stay to enjoy the warm climate of Canary Islands or after breakfast, take our private shuttle back to the Las Palmas airport.
