Majestic Dolomites

Dramatic Mountainscapes and Fairy-Tale Towns, Reach New Cycling Heights on this Thrilling Mountain Adventure. Are you ready for the challenge of the Dolomites? For amazing climbs rewarded by spectacular vistas and sensational, wind-in-your-face descents?
Are you ready for the challenge of the Dolomites? For amazing climbs rewarded by spectacular vistas and sensational, wind-in-your-face descents? Here in the first natural monument in Italy protected by UNESCO, you'll take the ride of a lifetime to World War I sites and remote villages of another time. It's a perfect blend of athletics and pampering, both for experts and others ready to radically improve their cycling skills.
Day 1: Bolzano
We will have a short warm-up ride through this medieval gem of atown and out into the surrounding area.
Day 2: Loop around Bolzano
Ride the valleys around Bolzano with climbs of Passo Mendola and Palade. Return to explore the monuments, museums and shopping of Bolzano.
Day 3: Bolzano to Canazei
This ride features the Sciliar highplain – where the Austrian language and culture are still dominant among the locals. Road signs, language, food and tradition are German. In the afternoon, after having climbed two passes, we reach Canazei, popular ski resort, base for cyclists wishing to explore the Dolomites.
Day 4: Sella Ronda
A traditionally popular ride is the four passes of the “Sellaronda,” one of the Alps most beautiful circuits. A dream for skiers and a challenge for cyclists, this ride around the majestic Sella Massif, up and down the passes of Sella, Gardena, Campolongo and Pordoi. Here you will discover, “the soul of the sport of cycling” like nowhere else in the world. Every year, millions of bikes come to follow the tracks of the greatest cyclists of the past like Bartali and Coppi, who built their legends on these ramps.
Day 5: Canazei to Cortina
We cycle along the same passes as Italy’s annual Giro d’Italia, a three-week bike race that begins in the south and zigzags north. Our first long climb faces the gorgeous “Marmolada,” then rises above the Passo Falzarego, an area where major battles of WWI were fought.
Day 6: Cortina Hike (Rest Day)
Our day off from cycling will be spent on an amazing hike around the beautiful Tre Cime di Lavaredo, following the historical trails along the battlefields of WW I, under the Monte Paterno.
Day 7: San Martino di Castrozza
Today we head South with three climbs; the Passo Giau, Passo Valles and Passo Rolle. We will end in the nice mountain village of San Martino di Castrozza.
Day 8: Levico Terme
oday we will “only” ride two passes. The route to Levico Terme leaves the Dolomites and enters the Val Sugana. Our destination is a spa town close to the beautiful Lago Caldonazzo.
Day 9: Bassano Grappa
Today we ride through valleys that were the battlegrounds in World War I between the Italians and the Austrians, and they are decorated with many memorials and historical sites reminiscent of the early 20th century. We ride through the beautiful village of Asiago and then descend into the other gateway of the Alps: Bassano del Grappa situated on the Brenta River.
Day 10: Arrivederci!
We end our tour in the morning in Bassano.
