Here’s an adventure that explores the best the Bay Area and Yosemite National Park have to offer. Kayak along the incredible shoreline of Monterey Bay and bike the famous 17-Mile Drive. Marvel at spectacular views while hiking on the most breathtaking trails in Yosemite. Perfect for the active traveller, this trip will have you breaking a sweat amidst some of the world’s most amazing scenery. With comfortable lodging in the park itself and only minutes away from the shore—you’ll have every minute of the day to discover the world around you.
Day 1 San Francisco (1B,1D)
Meeting at 8 am in San Francisco. Once provided with the right bike, map and equipment to ensure a safe ride the adventure begins. Explore what this exciting city has to offer and learn about the diverse history of the area as you pedal along the scenic bike trail in San Francisco. Bike through world-famous Fisherman's Wharf with it‘s fishing boats, sea food stalls and watch sea lions basking in the sun at the most popular Pier in San Francisco: Pier 39! Then bike to the western-most part of the Wharf, Municipal Pier and you'll find one of the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Continue to some of San Francisco's most scenic and historic areas including the Presidio and the Marina. Finally bike 1.7 miles across the famous Golden Gate Bridge and take a short break at Vista Point to enjoy an excellent view back over the city and learn about the fascinating facts of Alcatraz. Finish this amazing bike tour as you travel downhill to beautiful Sausalito, a hidden treasure not be missed! This quiet, charming town is famous for it's funky houseboat community and is best known for its spectacular waterfront views. Enjoy a tasty lunch at one of the many great seafood Restaurants. We head to Monterey and discover the many unique attractions it has to offer. Stroll along famous Cannery Row, named after John Steinbeck and explore the many specialty shops, local artists' galleries and wine tasting rooms stretching along the historic streets and waterfront. Group Dinner at Old Fisherman's Grotto/Sardine Factory. Estimated Travel Time (San Fransisco to Monterey): 2 hrs Estimated Cycling Time: 3 hrs
Day 2 Monterey (1B,1L)
There is no better way to explore Monterey Bay than with an exciting adventure Sea kayaking tour. Paddle along the shoreline and learn about the rich history of this beautiful area and discover many species of marine birds, harbor seals, sea lions and occasionally even whales! It is the perfect way to peacefully interact with wildlife inhabitants of the Monterey Bay! Enjoy a picnic lunch before ending this fantastic journey! In the afternoon bike the famous 17-Mile Drive, widely recognized as one of the most scenic drives in the world. Marvel at some of California's best-known landmarks and nature's treasures including Spanish Bay, Poppy Hills and the extraordinary Pebble Beach! Return to Monterey for the evening. Estimated Sea Kayaking Time: 3-4 hrs Estimated Cycling Time: 3-4 hrs
Day 3 Yosemite NP (1B)
In the morning drive to Yosemite National Park. Before marvelling at the spectacular views of the Park's magnificent peaks and granite domes our journey takes us to the south entrance of Yosemite. Enjoy a nice lunch at the historic Wawona Hotel before hiking amongst Giant Sequoias at the famous Mariposa Grove, home to hundreds of these handsome beasts. These giants are the world's largest trees in terms of total volume. Record trees have been measured to be over 300 feet height! In the evening take a short drive back to our final destination for the night, a classic mountain resort: the Tenaya Lodge. After Dinner relax by the pool or take advantage of the new Ascent Spa & Wellness at Tenaya Lodge. Estimated Travel Time (Monterey to Yosemite NP): 4.5 hrs Estimated Hiking Time: 2-3 hrs
Day 4 Yosemite NP (1B,1L)
Full day to explore Yosemite National Park. A short drive will take us to Glacier Point, a view point above Yosemite Valley reaching an elevation of over 7000 feet. It offers superb views of Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Falls and Half Dome. Prepare for more incredible views as you hike the Panorama Trail back down to the Valley. This 8.5 mile hike will take you on an adventure from Glacier Point down to the Mist Trail where you will hike to both Vernal and Nevada Falls, two of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the Park. Relax with a beautiful sunset in the valley. Estimated Hiking Time: 6-8 hrs
Day 5 Yosemite NP (1B,1L,1D)
Today take a drive on one of the most scenic drives in California, the Tioga Pass! Capture the beauty and essence of this historic route with your guide as you enjoy Yosemite's High Country. Expect a spectacular panoramic view of Tuolumne Meadows, Cathedral Peak and Unicorn Peaks as you hike up to Dog Lake and Lembert Dome! Enjoy a picnic lunch at the top of the world before returning to Yosemite Valley to witness more majestic waterfalls, including Yosemite Falls and beautiful meadows. With a keen eye, you may be even lucky enough to spot black bears, deer or coyotes. The afternoon is free to explore the park on your own. Last group dinner at Yosemite Lodge. Estimated Hiking Time: 6-8 hrs
Day 6 San Francisco (1B)
Transfer to San Francisco where our adventure ends at approx 5pm. Estimated Travel Time (Yosemite NP to San Francisco): 4.5 hrs

National Park entrance fees. Hiking, biking and kayaking excursions.
