Itinerary:
Pick up is from centrally located hotels between 8.00 and 8.30am for your day tour in Siem Reap.

We start our Angkor temples adventure with a visit to Angkor Wat easily the most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. We then move on to Angkor Thom city visiting Bayon, with its 54 towers decorated with more than 200 enigmatic smiling faces, Phimeanakas, Baphoun, Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. The day tour in Siem Reap finishes the morning with a stop at the very photogenic South Gate of Angkor Thom City where the gods and demons line the road leading to the gate struggling in a cosmic tug-of-war. The Gate itself is crowned with four large faces facing in the cardinal directions.

Lunch is Khmer style in a local restaurant in the forest. Enjoy a spread of great local food followed by a nap lazing in a hammock, or explore to see the traditional way of life and say hello to the Cambodians dining there.

After lunch we continue our day tour in Siem Reap by visiting the beautiful Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider) temple which was made famous by Angelina Jolie. Feel like one of the early explorers as you visit this temple which has been left to be reclaimed by the jungle.

If time permits finish the day climbing one of the oldest buildings in the Angkor complex, the brick temple of Pre Rup.

Randa was an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable about the history of the temples and carvings; he also knew the best way to avoid the crowds and the secret photography spots. It was like having the inside track – far better than any guidebook and much more fun!

We did a number of tours during our 2 weeks in Cambodia and Vietnam and this was by far the best, solely because our guide, Vantha was so fantastic. His knowledge was extensive and greatly enhanced the enjoyment of the tour, his language skills were excellent and he was a thoroughly nice person. Next time we come to Cambodia, we would do a tour specifically because he was the guide.

A brilliant trip. The guide was extremely knowledgable about all the sights we went to visit. The only negative point I would make is that the website stated this was a full day trip lasting 8-9 hours. It was more like 6 and a half. Plenty of time to see everything on the itinerary, but the website was a bit misleading.

Rong was a great guide. So enthusiastic & knowledgeable. Lunch was delicious. Good amount of time at each location. Would maybe have liked to spend a bit more time wandering around the ruins - but there is a lot to pack into the day so probably no time.

Dino was lovely, very engaging and great sense of humour. He knew so much about the temples and even assisted me in booking a night show to watch Apsara dancers after I saw images of them in the temples. Absolutely fantastic, wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour and Dino as a guide :)
