Visit the vibrant and historic neighborhood of Old City, wander through the narrow streets, visit some of the city's oldest places of worship, learn the history at Independence National Park, hear historic stories at Washington Square, soak in the charm and beauty of Society Hill, and enjoy an ale and snack at The Triumph Brewery.

Itinerary:
Start at the Independence Visitor Center and walk into one of the most vibrant and historic neighborhoods in the city. You'll have a chance to experience some of Philly's oldest and still active places of worship and enjoy a snack or coffee at a couple of Old City's local businesses. Continue on to walk through the tiny narrow streets of this neighborhood and take in Old City's art, music, and food scene.

Continue on to Independence National Park. You'll have a chance to visit some of the most popular and can't-miss attractions in Philadelphia. You'll likely walk past some famous sites, such as Ben Franklin's home, Carpenter's Hall, the Second Bank of the United States, Independence Hall, Congress Hall, and the Liberty Bell.

Continue on to hear stories in Washington Square, and then possibly you'll have a chance to see America's oldest hospital. Wandering through the quiet side streets of Society Hill learn about the Founding Fathers, the Free African Society and early churches.

Continuing through Society Hill and enjoy the many different architectural styles, from colonial and Georgian to Greek revival and 19th century. The final section of the tour will go past the Merchant’s Exchange, the first of its kind in the country. End up at the Triumph Brewery for a chance to taste some of the local ales.

Jeremy was an excellent guide! My husband and I were the only ones touring, and I know that it can be difficult to keep up the enthusiasm, etc with such a small group. However, it really gave us an opportunity to ask many more questions and Jeremy's backgroun in Urban Planning helped us learn a great deal about the city of Brotherly Love in colonial times up to current times.

Was not impressed with the tour. Information was not clearly presented. Thought we would have more information than was on the plaques. Really could have learned as much on our own. We were 7 minutes late because of parking and couldn't catch the tour until an 1 1/2 hrs. into tour because of no set route. Have been on other tours in other cities and this was in no way near as informative.

guide was very nice, however, lacked the knowledge to make this experience meaningful - he needs some basic training - some of the people left midway due to his lack of knowledge - again, nice man but needs some mentoring

Our guide Tom was rude about my boyfriend not taking his hat off at Christ church. Your guides should not be trying to impose their morals on the tour takers

Actually, my friend and I did not attend the tour, due to scheduling conflicts (and complete exhaustion). However, we talked to both the facilitator (Andy) and the guide (Alex), who were VERY nice and VERY accomodating. I recommend them VERY highly.

We really enjoyed our tour with Josh. As a Philadelphia resident, walk by buildings everyday and never wonder about their story. I love to learn about this city. I also loved that this tour was a small group. By the end, we all felt like a family.
