Would you like to paddle some of the nicest waters in creation? Twogood Kayaks makes it easy for you! Either reserve our kayaks in advance or just walk in and we’ll help you get onto Kailua Bay the easy way! After a short safety briefing with a map of the bay, we’ll take the kayak right to the beach for you, give you instruction if you’ve never paddled, and off you’ll go to explore beautiful Kailua Bay. Your kayak will be a one or two-person stable, easy-to-paddle model that everyone enjoys their first time out!
When you come ashore on your deserted tropical island, the view of Oahu is breath-taking with 15 miles of white sand beaches fringed with coconut palms. The rolling hills and vertical green cliffs of the Ko'olau mountain range shoot into the sky, a sight almost never seen by visitors.
Take a swim, go snorkeling, then enjoy your lunch and a short snooze under an open sky with the soft breeze and sound of the surf. If you feel adventurous, go exploring around the island to find a secluded cove that will be all yours with memories that will last a life time.
We will outfit you with super-stable sit-on-top Kayaks (or sleeker models if you prefer), deliver your kayaks to the beach, give you a quick 5 minute lesson to get you started, and an ocean orientation with safety instruction; all for a very moderate price.
Your adventure begins when you’re picked up in a comfortable van for your trip to Kailua. You will make a quick stop by our store to sign waivers and take part in our safety briefing with weather assessment, paddling map, and orientation of the paddling area. Next, you’ll be escorted to Kailua Beach Park by an experienced TWOGOOD staff member who will help unload your kayaks and give you a paddling lesson.
From there you will depart on a self-guided tour of our beautiful reef protected bay to enjoy your day of adventure in our calm turquoise waters filled with endangered sea turtles and sea birds. After lunch on one of three islands (bird sanctuaries), you can go for a gentle walk to secret cove, or if you feel adventurous, go kayak surfing! Then land your kayak on the tropical pristine white-sand beaches for swimming, hiking, snorkeling, and sunning.
Upon your return to the beach park at 2:45, you will be picked up in the same location you were dropped-off.
For your day’s adventure, we have in our store the following items which you’ll want to take with you: truly waterproof sun-screen (read the back of the tube - if it says "re-apply after swimming" It's Not Water-Proof, no matter what it says on the front), hat, sunglasses, reef-walkers, water-proof camera, and a water bottle. A complete Lunch will be provided in a soft cooler and a dry-bag can be rented to bring a camera or other items.
Hotel pick-up in Waikiki between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM.
Pick-up at Kailua Beach Park is 3:00 PM for return to Waikiki.
