This trip will introduce you to deep powder and heliskiing at the Cariboo Lodge in British Columbia.

Cariboo Lodge is the finest mountain lodge in the Cariboo Range. The Cariboo Mountains beg to be skied, offering both extensive alpine runs and phenomenal tree skiing. Days 1-7: Powder 505 - The Steeps
Powder 505: The Steeps for skiers and snowboarders looking for a challenge on seriously steep terrain. The trip runs in late April in the Cariboos , when snow conditions are most stable and days are longer, offering better access to challenging terrain.

Prerequisites: You must be a strong, confident skier or rider – comfortable on double black diamond runs at resorts like Whistler and Jackson Hole and able to cope with tighter terrain (i.e. couloirs).

Details: The trips are limited to 9 skiers/riders (which will be split into 2 groups), with 3 guides and a Bell 407 helicopter. Additional skiing above the guarantee is $125/1,000 metres (3,280 vertical feet).

For this trip, you should be comfortable on steep ski resort terrain. The program starts slow and small, not getting on anything really big until the guides have a chance to assess your ability and confidence. Start out skiing something steep but short, where the consequences of a fall are mellow. We also give instruction on how to handle various conditions we encounter – like adjusting your fall line to avoid getting tangled up in your own slough. We ski some great lines, but always allow a margin for error. Seeking the most challenging terrain available on any given day, we offer expert coaching, finding lines that allow you to develop your skills without compromising your safety.

Please note: If you overrate your ability and/or fitness level we reserve the right to move you to a more appropriate group.
