Manta Ray Night Snorkel

Why see a Manta? Mantas are remarkable.
Join us on an amazing Kona Manta Ray encounter. Since Mantas are attracted by bright lights our flashlights attract these gentle giants to us after sunset. 

Why see a Manta? Mantas are remarkable. They are BIG: 12-16 feet wide. Second, Mantas are graceful: guests are mesmerized by their underwater ballet. With large wings they perform somersaults. Finally, Mantas have odd large mouths & two attached "paddles" designed to gather plankton & enable you to view inside the Manta & see through the gills. Think a scene from the alien bar in Star War's! 

We outfit you with wetsuits, masks & fins and an underwater flashlight. After an orientation, we'll begin our adventure with a 15 minute kayak paddle, and then it's into the water for for the Manta ballet. Following the snorkel with Mantas we'll return to hot cider and snacks. It's a great trip and Kona is one of the few places in the world that you can have this amazing experience! Join us - you'll be glad you did. We do not touch or engage the Manta Rays in the water and ensure that we do not disturb their fragile ecosystem. 

Our guides makes this a worry free snorkeling & paddling experience. Arrive wearing your bathing suit & bring a towel to dry off and use as a wrap after the trip. Guests range from age 10 to 60. Most guests are new to snorkeling & kayaking & 99% have not snorkeled with Mantas before.
  • We do not touch or engage the Manta Rays in the water and ensure that we do not disturb their fragile ecosystem.

  • Good quality masks, snorkels & fins.
TRIP DOES NOT INCLUDE
  • A tax of 7.166% will be charged - this includes a 4.166% state tax and 3% harbor fee. 
  • Gratuity is not included in the price. Please remember guides rely on tips as part of their income. 
  • A nice assortment of snacks and drinks (bottled water, hot cider and granola bars, etc) are complimentary on each trip.
CANCELLATIONS: 20% cancellation fee applied if cancelled 60 days prior to departure. Cancellations within 60 days are 100% non-cancelable
