Ride back in time as you visit the cities where some of the most influential events took place that helped found the United States of America. See America’s first English Settlement at Jamestown, the civil war battlefields of Fredericksburg, and Monticello – Thomas Jefferson’s home in Charlottesville. Along the way you will ride through the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley Region, some of the most beautiful riding on the East Coast.

Day 1: Richmond Arrival
Arrive in Richmond, the Capital of the Confederacy. Richmond is crawling with Civil War legends and sites and offers a variety of activities like golfing, go-karts, whitewater rafting, and brewery tours. Transfer to your hotel and overnight.
Day 2: Richmond - Virginia Beach
This morning you will pick up your motorcycle and start your journey through the state which past is the beginning of the nation’s history and heritage. From Richmond you take Virginia’s Route 5 Scenic Byway to Jamestown. Explore the historical legacy of 1607, from the establishment of Jamestown and the introduction of Virginia's plantation economy to the Civil War and the end of slavery. From Jamestown follow the I-64 through the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel to Virginia Beach, your next destination. With 35 miles of waterfront property, Virginia Beach has long been considered a "classic American beach vacation" spot. Overnight.
Day 3: Virginia Beach - Fredericksburg
Today your journey will take you north to Fredericksburg traversing Virginia’s Tidewater Region. History and many other adventures await you - from battlefields and museums to water fun, hiking trails and children's activities. Historic downtown Fredericksburg features numerous specialty, retail, craft and antique shops in restored 18th- and 19th-century buildings. The city operates several parks, including a 211-acre recreation area on both sides of the Rappahannock River. Overnight.
Day 4: Fredericksburg - Harrisonburg
On your way to Harrisonburg visit Chancellorsville’s and Wilderness’s historic battlefields. Take the 15N to Leesburg which is located about halfway to Harrisonburg for a quick lunch visit. Located in the central Shenandoah Valley region, Harrisonburg is bounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah National Park to the east and the Allegheny Mountains to the west within the George Washington National Forest. Overnight.
Day 5: Harrisonburg - Blacksburg/Christiansburg
Next on your route is Blacksburg, home to Virginia's largest university, Virginia Tech., located in the northern Blue Ridge Highlands region of Virginia. Take Catawba Road (part of the TransAmerica Bikeway) which is designated a scenic byway that runs through Montgomery County. This road passes through pastoral landscapes, including historic buildings, mills, a tanyard, a brick kiln, 19th-century churches and an early 20th-century school. Overnight in Christiansburg.
Day 6: Blacksburg/Christiansburg - Waynesboro
Today you are heading back north on the Blue Ridge Parkway - America's Favorite Drive - to Virginia’s Mainstreet community Waynesboro. The pedestrian-friendly environment is home to businesses like specialty and service providers, museums, arts and cultural centers and unique restaurants opportunities. The South River runs through the downtown, one of only two urban fisheries in the State. Tour the streets that now cover the grounds of the Battle of Waynesboro. The Plumb House Museum, which was between the battle lines, has maps and a story of the battle. Overnight.
Day 7: Waynesboro - Richmond
On your way back to Richmond stop in Charlottesville centrally located in the eastern foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Central Virginia region. Many historic attractions bring visitors to the city, such as Monticello – home of Thomas Jefferson, the grounds of the University of Virginia, Ash Lawn-Highland, Historic Court Square and Michie Tavern, ca. 1784. Enjoy the sweeping curves of Route 6 from here on back to Richmond. Tour hallowed Civil War sites and relive key battles fought right on Virginia soil on your last day. Now it’s time to return your motorcycle and transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 8: Richmond Departure
Today your Virginia Triangle Adventure will end with your departure flight back home.
