The 2 Day Advanced trip combines some of the best whitewater of the Arkansas River. You'll start with the class III-V Numbers and you'll end at the bottom of Browns Canyon. This trip provides excellent advanced whitewater with beautiful scenery before we break for camp just above Browns Canyon in the proposed wilderness area. This trip is excellent for groups looking to get away from it all for a couple of days. We'll provide lunch, dinner, breakfast, a snack and all your camping needs. You only need to bring your personal sleeping bag and a toothbrush!

Age Requirement: 15 to 75Yrs

Recommended Gear List:

Footwear: Bring shoes that stay securely on your feet and can get wet. NO FLIP-FLOPS AND NO CROCS ALLOWED. Swimsuit to wear under wetsuit.
Sunglasses and strap to secure glasses.
Sunscreen and lip balm with sunscreen.
Additional Layers: Lightweight, quick-drying clothing.
Water Bottle Necessary:
- Sleeping bag (available for rent if arranged ahead of time)
- Dry change of clothes: shorts, long pants, warm layers such as fleece or a sweater)
- Comfortable shoes for camp (different from the ones you will wear on the river)
- Rain jacket
- Warm hat (synthetic or wool)
- Warm socks (synthetic or wool)
- Flashlight
- Personal toiletries (toothbrush, biodegradable soap, towel, etc) Suggested:
  - Things to play with, such as a Frisbee
  - Fishing pole (don't forget you need a fishing license!)
  - Bug repellant
  - Extra beverages (no glass please)
  - Money for souvenirs or to tip your guide. Rafting is a service industry; gratuities are not expected, but they are appreciated!

Day 1

Arrive at our outpost at 7:00 am, where we'll issue you dry bags to pack your gear. You might want to consider camping or staying in one of our cabins the night before. This makes the 7:00 am arrival a little easier. After getting geared up with wetsuits and splash jackets, it's time to head for the river! After a thorough safety orientation, it's time for an action-packed day of whitewater. You'll get your heart pumping right away as we hit the first advanced section - the Numbers (IV, V). After navigating this notorious section, we'll move on to the Narrows (III,IV) and the Town run (III,IV) for a full-day of adrenaline-filled excitement. By the time we get to the top of Browns Canyon, you'll be ready to kick back while our guides set up camp. You'll have time to hike, fish or just relax before a fire is started and dinner is served. That night you'll sleep in one of our tents on a comfortable foam inflatable mattress (Paco Pad) under a huge Colorado sky.

Day 2

In the morning you'll awake to the smell of coffee and the sound of the Arkansas flowing by your tent. We'll have a hearty, hot breakfast and load the rafts. Then it's time to get on the water as we spend the day in Brown's Canyon enjoying the beautiful scenery and excellent whitewater. We'll float out of the canyon where we'll have transportation waiting for us. After a snack on the way, we'll arrive at our Granite Outpost early afternoon with plenty of time left to catch an evening flight (7pm or later) or head to your next destination.
