Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by your Cox & Kings local representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi
This morning visit the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (viewed from outside) and a stilt house which was his temporary residence from 1954-1969. In the same complex you will see the One Pillar Pagoda. Next, visit the Temple of Literature, West Lake, Tran Quoc, and the nearby Taoist temple of Quan Thanh. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology and enjoy a walking tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Finish the day with a Water Puppet show.

Day 3: To Halong Bay
Drive to magnificent Halong Bay for an overnight cruise. Set sail through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay. Lunch is served as you cruise by impressive rock formations.

Day 4: To Hanoi
Enjoy a full breakfast (or brunch) as your boat weaves its way back to Halong City. Upon disembarkation, transfer to Hanoi.

Day 5: To Hoi An via Danang
Morning flight to Danang. On arrival, drive to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hoi An. Take a walking tour of the ancient town center.

Day 7: To Hué
Journey to Hué, en route visiting the open air Cham Museum in Danang. Continue over the Hai Van pass to the fishing village of Lang Co. Arrive Hué and check in to your hotel. Afternoon, visit the mausoleums of former Emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh.

Day 8: Hué
Morning cruise on the Perfume River. Visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, relive the grandeur of the Imperial Citadel, take a cyclo through the ‘Old City’ to Tinh Tam Lake and visit the Dong Ba market.

Day 9: Saigon
Fly to Saigon. Following check in, enjoy a full day city tour. Highlights include Cholon, the Cantonese Thien Hau Pagoda and the FITO Museum. Head back to the city center to visit Ben Thanh Market. In the afternoon you can either visit the War Remnants or History Museum and the former Presidential Palace. Then take a leisurely stroll to the major sights of colonial Saigon.

Day 11: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon
An early morning departure takes you to Cai Be, deep in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Embark on your private deluxe junk boat, the Cai Be Princess or Mekong Queen, and cruise to the colorful Cai Be floating market. Visit a local home factory and sail around the evergreen islands located in the Mekong River. Enjoy lunch before cruising to Dong Hoa Hiep and An Binh islands. Disembark at Cai Be pier and return to Saigon late in the afternoon.
