Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour

I am an expat living in NY. All the reviews I had read were great and so I had high expectations but the tour actually exceeded my expectations. The great thing about it was it was not just about the food, it was also history about the area. Tour guide was fantastic - knew a lot about the food, the owners, the history of the stores and the history of the area. There was so much food - felt like we were eating for 3 hours. I'll be recommending it to all our friends and family that come to stay.

Out of the four in our group two were from out of town and two were New Yorkers. Long story short, we will all be back to the places we visited and tasted at in the future. Our tour guide was fantastic and even though it was cold and snowing she was spot on and enthusiastic the entire time.

Our tour guide was great even in the snow...she tried to keep us warm at all times. My Girlfriend and I loved it so much we are already planning another trip in the spring to one of the other 5 tours they have.

Really enjoyed our Greenwich village food and cultural tour and can recommend it to everyone visiting New York. Three hours of delicious food-tasting, interesting details about Greenwich village and a lot of valuable advices about restaurants and food shops. Thank you!

Our group, four long time friends, thoroughly enjoyed our tour in the village! Our guide, Burt, was exceptional! We has a bit of history, cooking tips, and wonderful samples! Being glutton sensitive was not a problem on this tour! I was so pleased by the exceptional accommodations that the each place made. Although pizza was a no no, I did not feel deprived with the wonderful alternative foods offered.

We went on the Greenwich food tour in January 2012 and led by Heather we had a great time. It was for about 3 hours and it flew by. Heather was wonderful, so enthusiastic about everything and really knowledgable about the area and the restaurants we visited, obviously well researched and knew what she was talking about. We were bought this as a wedding gift as New York was our honeymoon and although we both like our food and to have good meals we were a little sceptical how much we'd enjoy this tour, BUT I can't say again how much fun we had. I think we were especially lucky as the whole group was fun and we met a real mix of people, even some New Yorkers! Highly recommend to anyone who fancies a better insight to Greenwich Village and New York food in general! A*****

The tastings were great and the information provided by the guide on the local restaurants and history of NY was very informative. We totally enjoyed it. We plan to take the meatpacking tour next.

We went on this expecting a lot from friends that have taken the tour. We were not dissappointed! Our guide was friendly, animated, knowledgeble and helped make the day a lot of fun. The stores & resaturants were incredibly nice and generous with the tastings. We've discovered new places to return to and definitely will. Next stop Chelsea Market tour and beyond. Great job! This is a steal at the price!

The food was amazing and our tour guide adjusted to the cold weather - which was fabulous of her to do! The tour guide was knowledgeable and set up the tour well by giving instructions before hand of what we could expect and what she expected of us. It was so great; I would do the same tour again.

On this tour I was able to taste a wide variety of delicious foods in Greenwich Village. It was so cool to have truly authentic New York style pizza and also go to a 4th generation Italian deli. Bert, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. When walking around the village, architecture and history was also something that he talked about. One of the highlights of my trip!

Our guide Cindy was sensational. Energetic, fun, thoroughly knowledgable, passionate and ensured that we had a great time. The time flew by so quickly, we covered a lot of territory, we're treated to great food and venues and apart from having a great time I learnt a great deal about the area from someone who has an In depth knowledge. If you love history and food this is a perfect tour to enjoy both! Our guide was friendly, informative, knowledgeable, helpful and funny. The food was fabulous! I will do one of the other tours offered on my next trip to New York. Loved it!!

This tour is great. The food is great, the area is great and the person that acted as guide (Marie) was great. Unequivocally recommended to anyone with a few hours to spare who a) want to know a bit about the area b) likes great food or c) both!
