Where to Meet to Start your Tour

Our Downtown DC location is just a block and a half from the National Mall, at the rear plaza of The Old Post Office Pavilion in the historic Penn Quarter. Look for our blue and yellow kiosk on 12th Street, NW between Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues. Take the metro to the Federal Triangle station (orange and blue lines) from the escalator, take a U-turn and cross over 12th St at the light.

Worth every penny. We took the monument tour with Neil. It was so interesting and by far the way to go when touring DC. Thanks Neil!

Rented a bike here for a friend in order to take in the sights! Great customer service and very reasonable prices. Only down side... There was about a 15 minute wait to return the bike as they were processing a huge group. I have found the best way to see DC is via bike... Will definitely be utilizing their services again when guests come to visit!

This was our second time using bike the sites. The first time was like 3 years ago and we took the day tour. This time we did the night time monument tour. The tour guide was good. Very informative and friendly. The tour lasted about 3 hours and the weather was about 45 degrees so it was tough to get comfortable since everyone was cold! Overall, great tour.

Bikes were well equipped with locks, pumps and helmets. Easy and convenient. The mall is HUGE and the bikes made touring the mall accessible. We had 2 teenagers and a 7 yr old. The tag along made it safe and easy. Highly recommend. Also, LOVE the Ben and Jerry coupons at the stand to use in the adjacent food court. We recommend picking up lunch a the food court and picnicking in front of one of the sites.

I'm giving this a tentative rating because I haven't actually rented with BAR yet, but I stopped by the other day and liked the vibe. In addition to being clean and well-run, they have a very convenient location and feature TREK 21-speed bikes for rental, which are much better than the crappy 7-speeds available at other places for the same price. I especially like the 24-hour rental option, since I hate rushing back to make the (usually too early) closing time; I'd gladly pay another $10 and bike at ease. Will let you all know when we get a rental complete; my fiancee and I may go biking this weekend.
