While I didn't do the tour, my bike rental allowed me to get as much of the mall into my 4 hours (that I had free from business) as humanly possible.
Started off in the morning - 15 minutes after they opened - which was awesome for having the mall almost to yourself. I felt sorry for all of the people walking around in the sweltering heat while I coasted by with the breeze in my hair. With everything so large and far apart - I couldn't imagine seeing the sites any other way. Can't wait to bring the family back.
The bike was great - the staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. I HIGHLY recommend this establishment.

Knowing the monuments were super far from each other, decided it'd be a good idea to rent some bikes. Got a Groupon deal for $17 all day bike rental. We went a bit early as we heard sometimes they run out of rentals later on in the day. Easy pick up and drop off. Nuff said.

i am all in for bike tours when touring new cities. DC for the first time was no exception. The reservation was easy and even though i got there 15 minutes late, the staff helped me catch up to the tour. the bike was easy to ride and the tour guide was great. he was friendly and open to questions. only having one day to tour, this was the best option to ensure i saw the most important sites.

The bikes were great, the help was great! They are very lenient with time with makes things a lot nicer =)
A PERFECT way to see the city without having to walk everywhere. About 15 for 2 hours but it was worthh it!
Be sure to research all discounts before heading out and go early for cruisers!

Haven't Yelped for awhile but this business requested the review, so...
The cherry blossoms were making their debut last week in DC. I couldn't believe my good luck that my work trip coincided with the beginning of the season, so I decided to spend my last afternoon riding around the blossoms. Bike and Roll was very conveniently located adjacent to the mall. The staff helpfully pointed out the best routes to see blossoms. My Trek bike fit me well and was well maintained (or very new!) and the helmet and lock I was provided with were great, too. Very friendly staff and easy check-in/check-out of the rentals. I especially liked that they emailed me my receipt for a paperless transaction.
If I'm back in the summer, maybe I'll rent a bike again for a longer ride around the Capital!

We rode the "Sights at Night" ride the Thursday before the Fourth with Tim, a recent graduate of American U, as our expert guide. I was happy that they offered a Trek 7300 20-inch ride, which matches what I ride at home.
Tim was a very approachable, very friendly and very knowledgeable tour guide who respected the varying levels of bike fitness in our slightly large (as in number of people) group. To his credit, the group was never separated at intersections or amid the more crowded areas of the Mall. My favorite part of the tour was heading up the "back" side of the Capitol building, through and area that was recently renovated; I hadn't seen it yet and was impressed with the work that had gone into it.
The tour was also good for learning about some out-of-the-way landmarks, like the 2008 Japanese-American Memorial to those who were interred during World War II. Blink and you might miss it, but Tim gave us a good summary about the memorial and what brought it to life.
The tour lasted just under three hours. Bike and Roll staff were really friendly and helpful from start to finish, from picking out a helmet to adjusting the bike for my frame to going over the do's and don'ts of the ride to ensuring our group was safe throughout. Looking forward to more guided rides with this company.

I come to DC a lot, so I tend not to play tourist when I do come to town. This summer I decided to bring my daughter with me, which meant I couldn't pretend I was one of the, I'm too cool to talk on the Metro locals. We had to get our tourist on.
Clearly you cannot come to DC for the first time and not see the monuments. There are many ways to do it, but without question my favorite is via bike. I have had the pleasure of renting bikes from Bike and Roll a few times now. They are always very helpful and nice. You can make reservations online and if you know when you are going, I suggest doing this. I of course forget and just show up to rent my bike. It has never been an issue, but once or twice I have not been able to get one of the cool cruisers they have. Oh did I mention they have cruisers. Riding one of their cruisers around is like being 10 again. You instantly remember why riding a bike it so awesome.
Their location is amazing. Right next to the Old Post Office, it is 10 second ride and you are on the National Mall. I also love that they give you everything you need for the day: helmet, bike lock, rack for the souvenirs you buy and a map.
The Mall is big place and it is possible to walk it, but why do that when you can ride?

These guys were friendly & easy to work with. The "Cruiser" bikes were easy, comfortable, and versatile enough for all of the local terrain. I would recommend them to anyone who likes blending sightseeing with fun physical activity!
