There are ten first class breaks surrounding our Northern Baja Surf Resort. Directly in front of our resort we have an incredible right point break that can be ridden up to 600 yards. This right-hander breaks best on a South or a West North West swell. We have eight other un-crowded reef breaks within 7 miles of the resort that are all easily accessible depending on swell direction and size, which we constantly monitor by motorbike to assure plenty of great surf while you're here. Optional video and still-shots of your surfing is offered.

Optional Remote Boat trips:

Remote Boat trips offer un-crowded high performance waves to four breaks: three right-handers, and one left breaking with the right swell direction. The waves are best for short-board and long-board intermediate + surfers who enjoy long, racy, and hollow waves. These isolated breaks are easily accessible by boat, but very difficult by vehicle. Lunch and non-alcoholic beverages are included. Alcoholic beverages are available. We disclose the names to keep these remote spots unspoiled.

These waves are year round, but the best time to book this trip is from April - February. These trips are offered if swells are 5’+. We recommend taking these trips when having a seven-day trip booked to ensure catching the best possible conditions. These trips can handle 1 to 6 surfers and a maximum of 2 boards per person. Boat trips to remote surf breaks must be staying at our camp.

Days 1-3: Surf in Northern Baja, Mexico

Trip leaves every Monday and Friday evening between 7-8pm from San Diego and shuttle returns every Thursday and Monday afternoon.

Safety is our number one concern and with over 20 years of driving in and out of Baja to our surf camp. We have never had a problem driving in at 8pm and arriving around midnight at our surf camp. This give you more time to surf and enjoy yourselves here at our camp.

Ten first class breaks surrounding our Northern Baja Surf Resort:

Spot No.1: Can handle triple overhead. Left hand reef break with power equivalent to some Hawaiian juice. 100 yards + ride.

Spot No.2: A-frame reef. Long rights and lefts. Breaks like Trestles on a southwest swell. Can handle larger surf. 100 yards +ride.

Spot No.3: Left hand break on a sand bottom. Breaks hollow with a lot of speed from the South West or North. 60 yards plus.

Spot No.4: Breaks 1/4 mile out, and is fickled. Needs a ten foot swell from West North West, or North North West. Right hander. 50-80 yards.

Spot No.5: 1/4 mile out with a ledge type reef that sucks out, barreling and fast. Needs a six foot swell to happen. 100-200 yards.

Spot No.6: Left hand point break, on a North swell, can hold overhead to triple overhead. Can also break on a significant south swell.

Spot No.7: Reef, mostly rights with a short left. Best in winter months, with west to North West.

Spot No.8: A Left wave breaking in a bay, can get 8 to 10 foot with South West best on North West. 50 – 100 yards. Fast breaking wave.

Spot No.9: Reef break, breaks best with South West swells. Can occasionally be crowded. 50-160 yard plus, right-hander.

Spot No.10: Sand reef, breaks best with any Northwest swell. 100 yards plus.

Other breaks by Boat: Depending on the size and direction of the swell. Waves on our Remote Boat Trips are not mentioned...

Lodging

Northern Baja Resort

Description

The resort can accommodate large groups of up to 16 people in total comfort and safety. Our resort is enclosed by a gated community with two security guards. Each room consists of four cozy beds. We also have an extra casita house that has one queen bed, one double bed (a single can be added) with one bath that’s perfect for couples or families of up to five. We provide all your bedding, but please bring a towel or two for beach and shower use.

Baja Bill really knows how to take care of a group of surfers. It's like you've got a family member with the ultimate beach pad on a perfect break. If the swell doesn't cooperate, which is rare, there is still plenty to do. The food was amazing. Full-blown Mexican/Lumberjack style. Bring an appetite. Bill is a guru at finding good waves, and the camp is fun place to hang out while you re-charge between sessions. It's all the things I grew up loving about Mexico.
