Botswana Safari in the Kalahari and Okavango Delta

The largest inland delta in the world. Pristine and uncrowded.
See the best that Botswana has to offer. The expansive plains of the Kalahari Desert, the majestic labryinth of the Okavango Delta and the diverse Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. These regions are rich with a variety of wildlife: lion, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, zebra and many more.

Please note: Prices may be higher during peak Holiday travel time from mid-December through mid-January.
Days 1 - 2: Central Kalahari Game Reserve
Arrive Maun, Botswana on Day 1. Fly by scheduled charter to Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Morning and evening jeep safaris to look for springbok, gemsbok, wildebeest, cheetah, black-maned lion, brown hyena and other wildlife. Also visit the San Bushmen and learn about the culture of these fascinating people.
Lodging Kalahari Plains Camp
Description Kalahari Plains Camp, in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, offers one of the most remote experiences in Africa today. This camp is beautifully placed within the Kalahari Desert biome, a place famed for its outstanding wildlife with vast herds of antelope followed by abundant predators - including the legendary black-maned Kalahari lions.
Days 3 - 4: Okavango Delta
Fly by scheduled charter to Okavango Delta on Day 3. On daily jeep safaris see elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, tsessebe, impala and, occasionally, wild dogs. Night drives also provide opportunities for guests to see nocturnal mammals such as civet, serval, genet, porcupine and aardwolf. Nature walks provide the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and smells of Africa and its wildlife from a different perspective.
Lodging Chitabe Camp
Description Chitabe Camp borders the famous Moremi Game Reserve, in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Chitabe Camp has all the scenery you would expect to enjoy on a luxury African safari - open floodplains, waterways, marshlands, dry acacia and mopane woodlands, riverine areas and open grasslands. The wildlife in this breathtaking mix of the Okavango Delta is as diverse as it is prolific: from elephant to impala and lion to wild dog.
Days 5 - 6: Linyanti Wildlife Reserve
On Day 5, fly by scheduled charter to the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. Activities include day and night jeep safaris, walking safaris and boat safaris (water levels permitting). The Linyanti region is renowned for its high elephant concentrations as the herds congregate along the waterways and lagoons during the dry winter months of the Okavango Delta. Diversity of the wildlife is excellent all year round including wildebeest, red lechwe, Burchell's zebra, giraffe, Cape buffalo, chacma baboon, vervet monkey, warthog, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, spotted hyena and more. Short nature walks can be taken along the Linyanti River and Savute Channel, with boat trips along the river are likely to spot hippo and waterfowl.
Lodging DumaTau Camp
Description DumaTau means 'roar of the lion', yet it is its high concentrations of elephant and outstanding wildlife in general for which it is renowned. Located close to the source of the Savute Channel, in the vast Linyanti Concession in northern Botswana, waterways around DumaTau Camp lure a plethora of wildlife - particularly in the dry winter months.
Day 7: Depart
Today you will fly by scheduled charter to Maun, Botswana where you will connect with your international flights home.
CANCELLATIONS: 20% cancellation fee applied if cancelled 60 days prior to departure. Cancellations within 60 days are 100% non-cancelable
