Start your safari in the Okavango Delta, rated as one of Africa's finest game-viewing areas, offering sanctuary to abundant herds of elephant, sable, giraffe, as well as predators including lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena. Next visit Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience more exhilarating encounters with Africa's Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros) in open-vehicle game drives in South Africa's Mala Mala Game Reserve.

Days 1 - 3: Okavango Delta, Botswana

Arrive in Maun, Botswana and fly by light aircraft to your camp in the Okavango Delta. Activities include day and night jeep safaris, nature walks and spectacular birdwatching. There is also the opportunity to "sleep out" under the stars in full comfort and safety. With the diversity of wildlife, birds and habitats which only the Okavango Delta can offer, this area is a breathtaking mosaic of open floodplains, waterways, marshlands, dry acacia and mopane woodland, riverine forest and open grasslands. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen, including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, tsessebe, impala and, occasionally, wild dogs. Night drives also provide opportunities for guests to see nocturnal mammals such as civet, serval, genet, porcupine and aardwolf.

Chitabe Camp

Description

Chitabe Camp borders the famous Moremi Game Reserve, in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Chitabe Camp has all the scenery you would expect to enjoy on a luxury African safari - open floodplains, waterways, marshlands, dry acacia and mopane woodlands, riverine areas and open grasslands. The wildlife in this breathtaking mix of the Okavango Delta is as diverse as it is prolific: from elephant to impala and lion to wild dog.

Days 4 - 5: Victoria Falls, Zambia

Today, fly by scheduled charter to Kasane, Botswana. Transfer by road and boat to Livingstone, Zambia and the Victoria Falls. Various adventure activities available at an additional cost include helicopter flights over Victoria Falls, white-water rafting, gorge swing, canoeing on the Zambezi River and much more. Guided walks to Victoria Falls are recommended.

Days 6 - 8: Kruger National Park, South Africa

Day and evening jeep safaris give you the chance to see the wildlife of the Kruger including Africas legendary Big Five; lion, leopard, buffalo, rhinoceros and elephant.

Description

Every aspect of the Main Camp is designed to appreciate and enjoy the view of the surrounding wilds. Pathways wind their way along the perimeter of the camp to reveal individual ochre colored units tucked into the greenery which flanks the Sand River. Massive trees and rolling green lawns are filled with birdsong, with the occasional antelope or elephant which seeks the succulence of greenery. The camp is unfenced - an oasis in the middle of the bushveld.

Day 9: Departure

Today, fly by commercial air to Johannesburg, South Africa. There connect with your international flights home.
