From there begins a 500 kilometre, three week long epic journey down the Snake River. On the way, you’ll pass through or portage around several rapids, have the opportunity to see bears, wolves, moose, dall sheep and caribou, and hike off into the surrounding landscape. There will also be plenty of fishing, a chance to visit the historic Fort McPherson settlement, and an excursion to Dawson City before returning to Whitehorse.
Demands: Not for novice paddlers. Your paddling skills are at an intermediate level, you can handle your canoe or kayak in most weather conditions and have basic whitewater skills.
