The first ever Dragon's Fury Race is taking place on September 5, 2015 and is well-timed to participate in before our Mystical Bhutan tour starts on September 6! Race to the top of Dochula pass at 3150 m and them descend to Thimpu. Total distance is 60 km and total climbing is 1,740 m.

Rarely is any country well known to the rest of the world, but at the same time steeped in such mystery. The Mystical Bhutan tour allows you the opportunity to journey to the Land of the Thunder Dragon! Nestled in the Himalayas, Bhutan is a landlocked kingdom bounded by two of the worlds largest nations: China to the north and India to its western and southern borders. Bhutans typography and climate offers you a variation of tropical lowlands in the south to lush valleys, temperate forests and awe inspiring peaks and glaciers, found in the north.

Its lush ecosystem is one of its greatest attractions. Bhutan is home to a wide range of flora, including medicinal plants, orchids, rhododendrons, and the National Flower of Bhutan: the blue poppy. Besides the rare flora, there is an abundance of wildlife and birds to be seen all along the tour. Bhutan has one the worlds largest protective wildlife sanctuaries, and is home to many endangered species. Much of the countrys sense of environmental and wildlife preservation stems from traditional Buddhist beliefs; that all forms of life are sacred and exist in a delicate web of interdependence.

The wildlife can be found in the many regions that are home to dense forests and farmlands. Also situated in these regions are examples of Bhutans architecture. More than 2,000 monasteries and countless chortens, ranging from simple to elaborate structures are scattered throughout the country. Close to any monastery or chorten, youll be sure to find prayer flags fluttering in the wind. Bhutan is a dramatic juxtaposition of ancient tradition and culture woven into everyday life. It represents how life was lived centuries ago. It is commonly referred to as the last Shangri La because its tourist policies have ensured that it has only been lightly touched by the influences of the West. All of which makes your journey to this unique country an opportunity of a lifetime.

We had an absolutely fantastic time riding across Bhutan's stunning countryside. The equipment was first rate. Kinga, our guide and Karma, our driver, made every day a treat; this trip is a perfect blend of recreational and cultural adventures. Their hospitality and support were greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
