This was awesome. if you think you might be interested do it. Great staff, food and drink wonderful, great people. If you like the out of doors and a variety of activities this is the place for you. Unwind, relax, and enjoy. You can be as active or sedentary as you wish. Epic
We were warmly welcomed into Bear Camp by the amazing team of guides. Spent five amazing days decompressing in some of the most remote and scenic wilderness. My son (10) and I bonded rafting down the Chilko river, fly fishing Kyles secret honey spot, and canoeing to remote lake islands. The highlight was horseback riding up to the peak of the potato ranch mountains where we encountered a momma grizzly and her cubs. The food was exceptional, the views from our luxurious safari tents breath taking. Thanks to the ROAM team for a memory that will last a lifetime.
We've done a couple of great rafting trips with them, and many mountain biking trips but were thrilled to find a trip with a bit more variety for the week. Rafting, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hose back riding, and/or doing nothing. There wasn't a fixed schedule of events, so the guides were able to accommodate various interests and the weather. There were enough guides and options that not everyone had to do the same thing every day. Want to relax on the deck with a book while somebody else goes kayaking, and another group goes horseback riding? No problem. These trips always have good food, but with a fixed kitchen the chef was able to really pull out all the stops. The week went by too fast. We'll have to go back and do it again. The bears are seasonal, so not everyone in the group saw a bear. If you really want to see the bears, you'll have to plan your trip for the right time of year.
Our trip arranged by them, Mindy Gleason. Mindy did a great job outlining the trip, and answering all questions. The folks at the Bear Camp were just incredible to me and my kids.Great fun, great adventure. Would totally recomend the multisport adventure.
What a great staff! They were cheerful, knowledgeable, kind, amenable, genuine . . . need I say more?! We did more activities in one day than we normally do in a week! We were encouraged to try, but always had our "just in case" exit plans! We saw a grizzly on our first morning . . .checked that off of the bucket list! We laughed so much on this trip! The scenery was amazing! The stories were entertaining! We will miss everyone at Bear Camp, as well as the lifestyle, dearly!
