One of the best ways to see Cuba! With a very generous local guide, a very authentic experience. Very well organized, well-balanced between (some) tough rides, (humidity and heat!!) and some surprise treats like freshly picked banana or mango, a nice little river or a beach to refresh in, a swimming pool at a nice hotel at the end of the day, etc. The landscapes are breathtaking: red soil, palm tree, and some glimpses of the ocean... The last part of the trip in Havana is also worthy, short but intense! I suggest to stay an extra couple of days, on your own, in order to really appreciate its richness and complex history.

An awesome way to see Cuba, and a Cuban tour guide certainly gives you a more local experience and gets you closer to things, even more so than by just being on the bike.....

I enjoyed experiencing Cuba beyond the gates of on all-inclusive resort. We learned a great deal while cycling through the beautiful countryside.

The physical challenge was not as great as we feared, so we were well prepared. Beautiful scenery, mostly good roads, very friendly locals. Excellent bicycles provided. The group interacted and got along well with each other and with the driver and guide. We felt safe wherever we went, both with the locals around and with the traffic.

Dear G Adventures, This e-mail is just to compliment G Adventures for the wonderful experience I had in Cuba. I went on a biking tour from April 16 to 23, and I can really say I left my heart there. Everything in the organization went really well, thanks to our wonderful guide, David, and our fantastic bus driver, Rodolfo. I was positively impressed by the hotel selection, the quality of the bus (with lots of space and air conditioning) and of the bikes, and generally by the selection of places to visit and activities to do. The west of Cuba is fantastic, looks like a tropical garden, and touring it by bike was probably the best way to have a feeling not only of the places but also of the poeple, the smells, the richness of vegetation and of animals... and everyone in the group had a very positive attitude and was just as impressed as I was. So, if you have a chance to keep things the way they were for me, I am sure everyone booking a G Adventure in Cuba will be as happy as me! Thank you, and I am really looking forward to having a new adventure with you! Serena

The trip was excellent and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. The tour leader was very informative, enthusiastic and entertaining. There were so many high points like the cycle to the Cayo Jutias beach, stopping for a snack at a countryside fruit and sugarcane stand, trying to salsa at the Vinales bar where the locals dance, cycling to Las Terrazas, seeing the town, staying at La Moca.

It was a fantastic trip. The guide was excellent -- very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. We had good group dynamics and the leader helped this. There were a few glitches that could have been solved with better communication on G Adventures.'s part. The cycling routes were scenic and interesting.

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip . Pedro our guide was informative of Cuban life , personable ,eager to please and easy going. The group for people I was with were just great to be with . Bikes were satisfactory . Hotels were great especially the Moka and the hotel in Town of Pinar del Rio whatever its name. Food was so so and the definite low point . Pedro our guide was very good in locating fresh fruit which was very enjoyable and the last night we went to a Paladares a Private restauatant which was the best meal I had during the trip. I liked the idea of making our lunches as opposed to having a big meal for lunch but having done the kayak Cuba trip the year before the food there was better. I have been to Cuba 7 times in he past and the food was the least enjoyable of the trips I have been on. However the enjoyment of the cycling the nice hotels and the varied experience of life in Cuba more than made up for the limited Diet . I might suggest the use of private restauarants on occasion. Overall I had a great time would not hesitate to recommend it and give it a 9 out of ten . Thanks for a great vacation

Fantastic in every way. Any cycling tour with 15 members must be well organized, and this tour was perfectly organized. Our tour leader, David, spoke 99.999% fluent English, was very voluble and interesting, and had a wealth of knowledge and insight re Cuban history, society, culture, etc -- all presented without, notably, much hint of regurgitated propaganda. The pace of the tour, the places we stayed, the events, after-hours activities, and the variety of activities all made for a fine trip. From Day 1 to Day 8, everything went smoothly, and all of the members were pleased, if not thrilled, to be a part of this tour. Special marks must go to our tour leader, David, who established a friendly rapport with us minutes after meeting us at the airport on our arrivals. Other tour members who had taken part in other G Adventures tours commented that David was far and away the finest leader they ever toured with.

Great tour leader (David) and driver (Jose); both genuine people who were genuinely concerned that we all had a great time. The tour was a perfect introduction to the beautiful and confusing country that is Cuba.

The tour was a great introduction to life in rural Cuba as well as the big city and the route was very beautiful, challenging, interesting, with lots of great places to see and tour. Our leader was exceptional. David described every aspect of life in Cuba and answered literally thousands of our questions. He was totally committed to the trip and gave us 100%. Jose, the bus driver, was also wonderful and helpful. Accommodations were mostly very good.\

We usually cycle tour on our own but we definitely got a lot more out of our holiday by signing up for the G Adventures tour. Based on reports from friends and the web we arrived with low expectations of food and accommodation in Cuba but were pleasantly surprised on the tour. The best thing was having the local guide David who was so knowledgeable and told us all about Cuban history and life as well as introducing us to some local people.

What an amazing way to see Cuba! Loved the up-close approach on the bike. The bikes looked a little old at first glance, but they were extremely sturdy and very comfortable given the shape of many of the roads. Really enjoyed the opportunities to interact with local folks, and the meals at local farms were amazing. David was very passionate about his country and its history. Very willing to answer questions and share his opinions. Great mix of riding, relaxing, and interaction. Another great trip with G Adventures!

The tour was nicely organized with a fabulous balance of time outdoors in the beautiful scenery, and also time spent interacting with people and the culture. I had a good time with the group, and David is an incredibly knowledgeable guide.
