Great time especially with the white water rafting. The river guides were phenomenal. We went in July, the rainy season, but we were lucky with the weather and the level of the river was fantastic. The operator was fantastic. The only thing we didn't like was the transfer from the river rafting to the boat for the Tortuga Lodge. That could have been smoother and more organized. The Pacuare River Lodge with walking trails and horseback riding through the mountains was wonderful.

This trip was newer when I took it last year. I had always wanted to visit Costa Rica and was not disappointed. The food was fabulous especially the coffee. The rafting was excellent and there was zip lining too. I went in July it was very rainy but so warm and lush with beautiful flowers and waterfalls this place was like paradise!

Everything was so well planned and organized from the minute I arrived in San Jose to the very last, I was well taken care of as a solo traveler. The group was very diverse from solo travelers to families, we had a great time! The river guides were amazing, knowledgeable and fun in both places. Tortuga Lodge was beautiful and memorable. The turtle expedition was amazing! I cannot say enough about this trip, you MUST visit Costa Rica, such a beautiful, wonderful country. This is the trip to take though, if your

OARS and Costa Rica Expeditions were wonderful to work with. Our guides were professional, friendly with a great knowledge of the rivers. Our teenaged kids loved the food, every meal devoured with pleasure and relish. The Tortuga Lodge was beautiful and watching a Leatherback lay her clutch of eggs on the beach was phenomenal as well as humbling. Rio Tropicales was very nice with the right mix of rustic and comfort. Cannot recommend this trip enough.
