My husband and I never would have had such a rich experience of the Grand Canyon without our guides' expert rim-to-rim guidance and personal care. Our trip was August 5-10 and there were seven people in our group. From our first pre-meeting to the last goodbye, Canyon everything was at our fingertips and ears: from flora to fauna, geology to astronomy, guides Addie and Will were better than any search engine and we had so much fun with our group splashing in the creek, watching falling stars, and eating well. At age 54, we wanted a rich nature adventure and this was the trip of our lives.

This trip was a great experience. Of course the Grand Canyon was stunning and being the less than 1% of park visitors that hike to the bottom is very special. Our guides, Maria and Joe, were fun, informative, and professional. I enjoyed getting to know the other hikers on the trip. We were well fed with delicious food the entire trip. It was such a pleasure to go on this amazing adventure and leave the details up to them .

Top marks go to them and their guides, Jimmy Fulmer and Sarah Ciarrachi, for the Grand Canyon 5-day rim to rim hike which wrapped up on August 16th. There were six participants in the trip with widely varying ages, from 20-something to 60-something. Everyone was friendly and shared a sense of adventure, but had different hiking abilities. The two guides made sure that everyone was able to hike at his or her own pace. Jimmy and Sarah are exceptional guides. They were always cool and calm and friendly, remaining focused on the needs of each trip participant, with a good sense of humour. Both of them have biology backgrounds and years of hiking and rafting experience in GC, so they were very informative about the flora, fauna and geology of the magnificent GC. They were attentive to all of the trip participants and made sure that all participants had proper hydration and good hiking food. They doled out TLC for the minor aches and pains that inevitably result from this kind of strenuous hike, including taping blistered feet. The trip was carefully planned and went off without a hitch. Food and accommodations were good, and on the south rim of GC, the food at the El Tovar Dining Room was excellent. Highlights of the stay at Phantom Ranch in the gorge of GC included hiking to and dipping in the Colorado River at Boat Beach, and Sarah's nighttime scorpion hunt that was so much fun that others at Phantom Ranch joined in the hunt. No scorpions were harmed – they were just illumin

Once again, it comes through in a huge way. First, Jimmy and Sarah (our guides) were simply amazing. Their knowledge of the Grand Canyon, it's waterways, fish, plant life, and Native American culture were absolutely priceless during this adventure. If you don't have hiking rim-to-rim on your "bucket list" I strongly urge you add it, and do it with them . Please note, this is only for those who don't mind getting dirty, sweaty, hiking up to 14 miles in a day, and enduring some serious aching muscles in order to experience the Canyon in ways that others will merely see on television and read about in books. You will be fully immersed in it! Around every turn you'll see breathtaking vistas, and ultimately be part of the 1% that venture beyond the rim and experience Phantom Ranch, stand beneath gorgeous hidden waterfalls, and put your hands on billions of years of geological history. Comfort and air conditioning are not guaranteed, but an amazing once-in-a-lifetime adventure with lifelong memories? Absolutely!! Thanks -- you did it again!

The Rim to River Grand Canyon hike is an educational, fun, and moving trip that is physically taxing enough to give a feeling of accomplishment upon it's completion.
