Travel insurance Aiport transfers Tips for support staff and guide Miscellaneous expenses drinks souvenirs etc The hotel accommodation was better than expected and the food was varied, and of good quality. The support staff were very helpful and even offered water top-up en route if required. The pace of the walking was flexible to cater for those who preferred to walk at a slower pace or take photographs. The tour leader was very patient with the different levels and interests of people on the trip. The performance of the tour leader and his staff (assuming this to be the local agent on La Gomera in this case)was exemplary and they could not have done more to ensure the success of the trip. The holiday was graded correctly in my view and it provided a varied and enjoyable walking trip in an interesting and beautiful landscape.

Couldn't fault the accommodation & food. Routes & pace - all excellent. The local agent was very enthusiastic and knowlegable about the area in explaining the history & geology of the region - first class. The weather was perfect for walking, not too hot with a nice breeze most days. The holiday was excellent and I will certainly be doing another one asap. I enjoyed all the holiday, but particuarly the beautiful scenery, and enjoyed the company of the other people on the holiday. The walking from one hotel to the other was well planned and not too strenuous, with many stops of interest along the way. It was also nice to have breakfast, lunch & dinner organised and included - saved having to search for places to eat. As it was my first trip it met all my expectations and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is a small point, but perhaps mention in the trip notes that it can quite cold rather than cool in the evenings. I think people on the trip didn't quite take in the information about the colder temperature because this is the canaries and the expectation is for warm weather.Enekoiz Rodriguez was absolutely excellent, I cannot praise his knowledge and enthusiasm enough. I very clearly cares very much maintaining environment and culture of La Gomera.A fantastic holiday made even better by an excellent hard working trip leader/local agent.

Enekoiz Rodriguez (the guide) was fantatic. I really enjoyed La Gomera and this was largely because of Enekoiz wonderful leadership; it was great to hear specific detail on the geology, archaeology, ecology and economics of La Gomera. I loved the walking trails and the hotels and restaurants that Enekoiz worked with too. He was very personable and made an effort to ensure that we were all enjoying our holiday and getting as much out of the trip as we wanted to. I really liked the fact that the island was so clean and that we didnt feel overwhelmed by other tourists. We were also welcomed by the locals who made us feel very comfortable when we went to their hotels/restaurants/shops.

A truly varied walking holiday covering 103 kilometers in 6 days, with 3,875 meters of climbing and 5,900 metersof descent. The laurel forests of the Garajonay are special although quite chilly and damp whilst deep in the forest. The open ridges and other paths catch the sun and make for pleasant walking. All the hotels and meals were of a good standard, although the room in Chipude was quite chilly due to the elevation and the mists. Blankets and a heater were provided. The descent from the restaurant with the glass floor overhang at Mirador de Abrante down to Agulo is firm underfoot but is quite exposed, giving anyone who suffers from vertigo something to think about. The arrangements were in the hands of local guide Enekoiz Rodrigues and he did a brilliant job. Timings, transportation, bag transfer, route scheduling went like clockwork, and Enekoiz took pride in explaining all things local.

Highly recommend this trip to any walker who wants to get away from it all. Enekoiz (Ene) was our extremely knowledgeable guide & his enthusiasm for the island had us captivated - stories of the ancient forest, devastating fires, traditions, Canarian culture & much more. Ene was briliant. Thank you for an interesting & fun trip!

Two months ago I had never heard of either La Gomera or KE Adventure, so it was with a little trepidation that I booked this holiday. The title La Gomera -Jewel of the Canaries says it all, the week was faultless. There were so many positives: the variety of the walks, the accuracy (in my opinion) of the grading as a five, the quality and variety of both the meals and the accommodation, the banter between the group and the fact that the weather happened to be perfect all helped to make it such an enjoyable week. The one outstanding feature among so many positives was our guide Enekoiz. Points that deserve mention were the calm approach he has to his work, the high level of interest in his job, the passion he has for La Gomera, his willingness to accomodate people, his command of English and his multi facteted personality all make him a great ambassador for this wonderful island that I hope to return to soon. P.S. By the way I'm not always this positive when I write a review!

This was my first trip with KE and my first visit to the Canaries. It did not disappoint. La Gomera is a fascinating island, both naturally and historically. The hikes were varied, and the scenery was superb. I was accompanied by a fantastic group of people but the real gem was our guide, Enekoiz (Ene). He was professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about the island. Tips: Bring layers because some accommodation does get cold at night. If you are gluten intolerant you will be well catered. If you think you are going to lose weight on this trip you won't because the food is excellent and the portions are hearty :)

A tough week requiring a good level of fitness; there are no flat paths on Gomera, they are either up or down! There are some long descents which give the knees and ankles a real hammering. Accommodation was good although ear-plugs would have been useful in a couple of them. Food was good, often no choice but not a problem, in fact not having to make a decision was a relief. Our guide Ancor was lovely, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He never seemed to get out-of-breath even on the steepest ascents. All-in -all a great week, helped by wonderful weather

A very enjoyable week, with a feeling at the end of each day that it had been a good day's walk. The island is full of contrasts, with warm and sunny weather at the south end of the island at the beginning of the week, ending at the north end on the last day in ferocious wind and spooky, swirling mists. There are only uphills and downhills, no flat bits anywhere! But the uphills took you to some stunning views and were well worth the effort. There were some knee-trembling, foot-jarring descents too, but Enekoiz always took the time to rest and talk about the geography and culture of La Gomera. His passion for the heritage of La Gomera brought it alive for us, in a way that we would not have been able to appreciate on a self-guided tour. The hotels were all good, the food was lovely and we now all know that palm honey is to La Gomera what maple syrup is to Canada!

Had a good time trekking La Gomera. It is a lovely island, particularly enjoyed the first few days when we went into the 'spooky' cloud forest, the sights, smells and trails are spectacular. The following days round the island are a bit 'samey', yet enjoyable. I would say this is on the easier end of the scale for a level 5. Enekoiz, our leader, was excellent, arranged every thing very well. He is very passionate about his island and he certainly knows how to talk! Accommodation was adequate and food was good. Climate variable but overall pleasant. Not much to do in the evening after dinner.
