Highlights

    • Be left breathless by the lush Banaue rice paddies, millennia old terraces that stretch like stepping-stones towards the sky
    • Witness the unique hanging coffins in Echo Valley, and discover more about the fascinating traditions of the local people
    • Just 25 years old, the lake-filled crater of Mt Pinatubo is a fresh wonder to explore – trek to the summit and camp right next to pristine emerald waters in the heart of the volcano
    • Contrast the chaos of Manila with the relaxed way of life in Palawan. This is a part of the world that's yet to be overloaded with tourists

    • This trip includes a sightseeing tour of the Philippine capital of Manila, giving you a taste of what it has to offer. You'll even whizz around the streets in an authentic jeepney

Intrepid provide a safe socially responsible environment for travelers. They are about culture and learning more about off the beaten track activities as well as the touristy things. But they supply a greater understanding of the people and culture. In the Philipines we had a knowledgeable Intrepid guide that is Philippino and she has many years experiences in tourism and was very helpful in helping me choose the best Scuba diving company with amazing gears and dive master that was able to show me many interesting things like a good size yellow Seahorse and an interesting purple and white color sea slug. She helped me to locate good weird foods like Balut and Tamlok. In addition, she was able to satisfy all my needs and wants in terms of travel activities. As well as, good night life entertainment.

Loved the Philippines. The highlight for me was the rice terraces in Banaue and climbing Mt Pinatubo. The people, the style of travel and the food were all very memorable. Palawan was a great way to finish this tour as it was a much slower and relaxing pace. Looking forward to returning when Intrepid includes more trips to this wonderful location.
