Whats more, the warm, gently surging waters of the Rogue River combine with "one-of-a-kind" rapids, which provide just enough Oregon whitewater rafting excitement - without an extreme element. Rogue River rapids such as Blossom Bar and Rainie Falls are sure to inspire a generous dose of adrenaline interspersed with lots of calm float time in between them. For the more adventurous, our inflatable kayaks provide an up-close and personal encounter with the rapids of the Rogue.

Oregon's Rogue River winds its way through one of the most beautiful pine-forested canyons in North America and gained federal Wild & Scenic wilderness designation in 1968. This rafting adventure vacation in Oregon shows off this rivers best features as it flows from its headwaters high in the Cascades near Crater Lake National Park towards the incomparable Oregon coast through the Rogue River National Forest. A great family rafting tour that works perfectly into trips to the states untouched ocean beaches and nearby national parks.

The Rogue River might just be the perfect rafting trip. The generally moderate whitewater is ideal for all levels of experience from beginner to intermediate. Rapids such as Blossom Bar and Rainie Falls are sure to inspire a generous dose of adrenaline. For the more adventurous, our inflatable kayaks provide an up-close and personal encounter with the rapids of the Rogue. Your trip will surely be witnessed, whether you know it or not, by the abundant wildlife living onshore. The most common sightings include deer and river otter, along with an occasional black bear. Outstanding 4-Day Rogue River trip with them. The guides were amazing as was the food and overall experience. This is a fabulous family trip and my 9 year old daughter had a blast for her first time on the river. The guides took exceptional care of her, especially Morgan, and she cannot wait to go rafting with them again. I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism, organization, and safety demonstrated by the guides. They really go above and beyond to make sure that you are enjoying every minute of your trip. They provide an unbelievable experience that you will not get anywhere else.

Our guides, Nicole and Blessed, were fantastic. Extremely professional, confident, fun. Engaged my 6 year old daughter and encouraged her to be adventurous. The food was excellent. It was a great balance between fun, adventure, nature, camping, but the easiest camping you will ever do thanks to our great guides who somehow also cooked and cleaned all of the meals. Just a wonderful trip for a family or anyone of any age. Rogue River is spectacular. The group we were with ranged from 68 to 6 and everyone had any awesome time.

The trip was beautiful! Saw lots of wildlife and scenery that is so different from the east coast. The food prepared by our chef Neil Clooney was unbelievable! Completely spoiled us. The wines from Valley View Winery were perfect with our meals each evening and Mark Wisnovsky gave interesting wine talks. Learned alot! The guides are the epitome of knowledge and professionalism mixed with great personalities. Alyssa, Luke, Carly and Megan are the best guides on the Rogue!

Our guides (Kate, Nicole, Alyssa, Trey and Leo) were outstanding. All were great at their craft and worked very hard. Our girl guides resuced another, less capable companies rafters from the middle of a class 4 rapid. Food was outstanding, wine was awesome - plenty of fun on the river. Most relaxed I have been in a long time.

The guides were great. They allowed us just the right amount of excitement while making sure we were able to stay safe. Kate the trip leader was great with the kids. She made sure they had plenty of fun things to do every day. Brant, Alyssa, and Nicole were very friendly and were always willing to answer our questions. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. I took my son and grandson on the trip. My son has been on outdoor trips before, so he knew what to expect. He thoroughly enjoyed the trip. My grandson had never even been in a tent. This was his first outdoor experience. For me, the best part of the trip was to see how much he enjoyed it. He was willing to try everything. He was able to enjoy the kayak with his father, paddle the raft, float through rapids on his own, jump off rocks into the river. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. His excitement was infectious. We were able to see an abundance of wildlife. We even saw a black bear on our last evening. I would highly recommend this trip for any family.

An amazing time gently drifting down the Rogue. The rapids are pretty tame (at least in June) but the scenery was fabulous and the food was extraordinary on the Craft Beer trip with meals prepared by Aaron Woo of Portland's Natural Selections.

This was our first rafting trip, which was also true of approx 12 of the 15 total guests on the trip. We had 4 guides in four 16-foot Oar Boats along with enough single and double inflatable kayaks to accomodate any who wanted to be in one. Everyone I think had just an amazing time, partly because of the great weather, but mostly because of the guides and the nature and the mix of calm stretches with frequent moderate not too severe whitewater on this "wild and scenic" 35 mile stretch of the Rogue. I moved from Oar Boat to kayak over the first couple days, and just had a blast on the third day which had the most whitewater and felt it was just a great first whitewater kayak experience. The guides, Matt, Rose, Andrew, and Mikey were capable, confident, patient and just overall fun to be with. Great stories, great knowledge of the area and history of the river, and just a sincere and positive vibe from all of them as they worked together like the experienced team they are. Their confident manner and encouraging attitude with specific instructions called out to us before each rapid ("enter center then charge right!") helped all the kayakers meet the challenges we faced on the numerous cl II and III rapids and a couple cl IV features. My less adventuresome wife sat on the front of the Oar Boat the whole time and loved it also (and she got plenty wet besides when it got hot!) We saw Eagles, Osprey, Blue Herons, Egrets, River Otters, a Bear (soaking in the river), plenty of deer an

We had a large group of old college friends and our young adult children on the trip. It was terrific fun! The most fit and adventurous among us could charge down the Rogue in the I.K.s and when it was time to rest the old bones, the oar boats were like riding in Cadillacs. The paddle boat was a fun compromise. I (being the oldest person on the trip) braved the I.K. and after a terrifying bit of time after flipping it and becoming a member of the Rogue "swim team"... was "rescued" by Ben (my knight in shining armor) and I happily passed my kayak on to a more brave soul and took my comfy spot on his oar boat. Jessica (our leader), and ALL of the guides were fantastic and funny, helpful and attentive, and very safety conscious. We had a great time and I would highly recommend an O.A.R.S. adventure!

We did the Rogue River 4-day trip in Midjune with plenty of sun and well experienced guides. Kate as leader did a GREAT job. The other guides were also wonderful. The trip itself is a good mix between adventure (if you are in the duckies) and relaxing time on the big boats as well at the camps. While paddling you'll see a great scenery with nothing but nature. The guides do not only good paddling, they also did a wonderful job with cooking. We never saw that great food on a trip like this. They use if possible regional and organic food, what we really enjoyed. If you think of going on this trip, decide to do it. You won't be disappointed.

The trip lead, Kate, pushed this trip from "great" to "fantastic." Her regional knowledge, both from a historical perspective and a fun-activities in and around the normal river route were exceptional. Short hikes to Inspiration point and Chelsea creek bridge were great, as was instructional fun like swimming into and out of an eddy, the good rocks to jump off of, as well as local flora and fauna knowledge. She and the rest of our guide staff (Carly, Matt, and Colby) were professional and friendly, very easy-going and genuinely fun people to hang out with. The food was also quite good. Nothing was "bare-bones" about any of the meals - things like eggs benedict and pulled pork sandwiches aren't found on any run-of-the-mill trips, and the beer selection was also good. I look forward to taking my family on future trips with O.A.R.S

Pit Stop for KLids

We knew the scenery would be amazing during this trip on the Rogue, and that we'd experience plenty of adventure, but what we couldn't have anticipated was how great the guides would be. The three women and one man who comprised our guide crew were nothing short of amazing, and they were truly the glue that brought our entire trip together. I expected our guides to be experienced on the river and able to offer tips and safety procedures, but they went above and beyond, serving as not only guides but playmates for the kids, excellent cooks, and all round the hardest workers we've even seen in a tour operation. Our guides worked sun-up until after sun-down organizing all activities, setting up every camp, making every meal, and rowing every mile of river. They were incredibly organized and professional. While a few set up camp, others would organize a game for the kids or entertain us with riddles. When we hit a snag at a rapid, they went to work creating a mechanical advantage to get us off the rock professionally, while the fourth guide kept us busy with jokes and riddles. The guides knew of every great jump rock and every good swimming hole along the river, stopped us for great hikes, and could point out everything we needed to know about on the river. We never had to worry about finding a campsite or what was for dinner. Hands down, this was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had. Think of an OARS trip as an all-inclusive resort or cruise for the active, adven

This trip blends the excitment of rafting with great craft beers and evening meals prepared by a chef! For my son and me, this was the perfect blend to create a truly memorable father/son trip. Staying at the Morrison's Lodge before and after the trip was a pleasant surprise - the cabins are clean and functional and the food was wonderful - definitely restaurant qulity and presentation.
