One of the reasons we keep coming back is the superb quality of the trips we've taken and the use of local, expert guides.worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to make sure all of us enjoyed our cycling experience and were introduced to the history and culture of Scotland. The guides were super-prepared and flexible. We had rain one morning, and Paul arranged for us to tour a smokehouse instead of cycling. We all loved the tour (and developed an addiction to Dunkeld Smoked Salmon) and by mid-day, the sun came out and we picnicked and resumed cycling. There was a wonderful esprit de corps among the fourteen of us who were cycling. Part of it has to do with the people who choose to take a cycling vacation, and part is inspired by the quality and concern of the guides who genuinely wanted all of us to have a great time. This is the second time he's been on one of our trips and his attention to detail, warmth, and knowledge added to our enjoyment. We have two comments to improve the trip. We suggest recalculating the mileage on some of the rides and noting that some of the gentle, rolling hills were a bit more challenging than expected. However, the guides made the van (and ice!) readily available to me as I was injured and really could not ride fast or uphill - - and the van rides were great fun, as the guides and fellow cyclists who also sought van support were terrific traveling companions, readily answering questions about the history, culture, and landscape of Scotland..
